So it seems that in recent times the lines of fidelity have been blurring more and more. When I was growing up I felt that most of the men and all of the women around me were as faithful to their significant others as they should be. Then I graduated and immediatley joined the workforce. It was there that my my faith in the wholesomeness of people was shattered. I witnessed more women doing their men wrong than than vice versa. Since then I've seen many relationships blossom and die. Most died because one party believed that the other was being unfaithful in some way. I think we need to step back and ask ourselves whats acceptable and why? I'm gonna start with the basics and say that if your having sex with someone who is not your significant other then you are definitely cheating (unless your signicant other approves of it). So is it cheating if...
...you have websex via webcams? If it is, why? your not really there with them.
...you have phone sex? Again, its electronic media helping you get off with an individul who is not your significant other. The question is; Does that matter?
...You constantly communicate via emails, instant messengers, or social networks like Myspace, Tagged, and Facebook. Does the content of the messages make a diferrance? Is it ok to convey sexual messages, or even non sexual ones. How does it make you feel when you get correspond. Is it the same feeling you had getting love notes from your highschool crush?
...you dance provacatively.Booties all slamming against pelvic areas and whatnot!U may say it okay on the dancefloor, but if its okay there, then whats the problem with doing the same thing in the library? Post up against a bookshelf and just get it!
...you have lunch dates and dont tell you other about it?
...you have someone over to just "cuddle" with?
I dont have all the answers to this stuff, but I can tell you that personally, If someone else is filling a void that should be filled by your significant other, then you are in the wrong.
